No. 13 seed Liudmila Samsonova could be a potentially dangerous matchup in the fourth round, and No. 6 seed Jabeur is in line as a potential quarterfinal opponent. Sabalenka has lost to Jabeur twice in Grand Slam matches, and if Sabalenka reaches the semifinals, her opponents could include two-time Australian Open winner Gauff or Osaka.
From there, Rybakina or Swiatek could be waiting. Swiatek is the tournament betting favorite for a reason, and Rybakina throttled Sabalenka 6-0, 6-3 at the Brisbane International last week. Sabalenka has lost three of her last nine matches and has just one tournament victory in 15 attempts since the 2023 Australian Open.
