The only other four-set match was in the second round, when Medvedev defeated Australian Christopher O’Connell 6-2, 6-2, 6-7(6), 6-2. Since turning professional in 2014, Medvedev has won 20 singles titles and reached the Grand Slam final four times, winning the US Open two years ago.
