The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their third consecutive playoff appearance, but one of the biggest collapses in history NFL the story overshadowed what once appeared to be a promising season. Philadelphia lost six of its last seven games after a 10-1 start and was eliminated in the wild-card round of the playoffs, leading to a change in offensive (Kellen Moore) and defensive (Vic Fangio) coordinators for the second consecutive season.
There is still a lot of optimism surrounding the Eagles, thanks to a busy front office this offseason to make Philadelphia a Super Bowl candidate once again. Not only has general manager Howie Roseman locked up his young core with contract extensions, but the Eagles added Saquon Barkley as one of the prized free agent signings of the offseason.
Philadelphia also added Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the first two rounds of the draft, revamping a secondary that also saw the return of CJ Gardner-Johnson in free agency. The Eagles also added Bryce Huff to the pass rush in an effort to add bigger edge rushers to Fangio’s scheme.
The revamped roster, along with an easier schedule in 2024, gives the Eagles hope they can compete for second Super Bowl appearance in three years.
The Eagles have an intense primetime schedule (again) in 2024. Here is the complete Eagles schedule for the 2024 season:

Key observations from the schedule
- Philadelphia will begin the season on the road for the fifth straight year, the franchise’s longest stretch of consecutive road games since the six-game homestand from 1983-88.
- The Eagles and Cowboys will not play in primetime for the first time since 2006.
- The Eagles will have three games on CBS, including playing the Cowboys on CBS for the first time since 1993.
- Six consecutive games at 4:25pm or 8pm or later from Weeks 8 to 13.
- Philadelphia has five contests scheduled in prime time for the third year in a row. The Eagles have appeared in the second-most primetime games (105) on NFL dating back to 2000.
- Philadelphia will play four home games in the final five weeks of the regular season for the first time since 1951.
- After a “Sunday Night Football” matchup on the road against the Rams in Week 12, the Eagles will not have to travel by plane for the final six weeks of the season.
Five unmissable games
5. at Giants (Week 7): Saquon Barkley returns to MetLife Stadium for his first game against his former team. Barkley left the Giants to sign a three-year contract with the Eagles this offseason.
4. vs. Packers (Week 1): The Eagles lose a home game to play the NFL first regular season game in South America, against an NFC contender, the Packers. This game is a swing game on the schedule that determines playoff seeding, for which the Eagles will not have home-field advantage. This one could go either way.
3. at Bengals (Week 8): Jalen Hurts will face Joe Burrow for the first time in the NFL and for the first time since 2019 College football Playoff semi-finals. The Bengals have at least reached the AFC Championship when Burrow is healthy enough to finish the regular season, making this a huge test early in the season.
2. at Ravens (Week 13): Jalen Hurts vs. Lamar Jackson is already an unmissable quarterback duel. The Ravens might be the best team the Eagles see on the schedule all year, and Philadelphia has never won a regular-season game in Baltimore. This will be a test.
1. at the Cowboys (Week 10); vs. Cowboys (Week 17): The Eagles-Cowboys matchups aren’t in primetime this year, but both are pivotal for the NFC East (the Eagles haven’t won in Dallas since 2017). The Week 17 matchup in Philadelphia will likely determine the division.
Game-by-game prediction
Here’s a quick game-by-game prediction with a brief reasoning behind the prediction:
- Week 1 (at Packers): Loss – The Eagles who play in Brazil take advantage of playing at home. Not sure what to expect. (0-1)
- Week 2 (vs. Falcões): Win – Kirk Cousins at MNF and Eagles on 10 days rest in home opener. (1-1)
- Week 3 (at Santos): Win – The Eagles typically struggle in the Superdome (they haven’t won there since 2007), but Jalen Hurts typically plays well against Dennis Allen’s defense. (2-1)
- Week 4 (at Buccaneers): Victory – It will be difficult in Tampa Bay, but the motivation to avenge the defeat in the playoffs is very important. Saquon Barkley should have a big day. (3-1)
- Week 6 (vs. Browns): To win — After the bye week is normally a good position for this team to be in (Nick Sirianni is 3-0 after the bye week). (4-1)
- Week 7 (at Giants): Victory – Saquon Barkley’s revenge game. (5-1)
- Week 8 (at Bengals): Loss – If Joe Burrow is healthy, a very difficult matchup for the Eagles defense. It may be more difficult on schedule. (5-2)
- Week 9 (vs. Jaguares): Victory – The Jaguars will be tough in prime time, but the Eagles should score a lot of points with their revamped defense. (6-2).
- Week 10 (at Cowboys): Loss – The Eagles need to prove they can win in Dallas. They will take over the starting position in the NFC East if they can. (6-3)
- Week 11 (vs. Commanders): Win – Washington in a short week at home against a rookie quarterback. Eagles Advantage. (7-3)
- Week 12 (at Rams): Victory – Tough game in Los Angeles in prime time, but this is the last flight the Eagles will have to make this season. They will be motivated. (8-3)
- Week 13 (at Ravens): Loss – Lamar Jackson will be a nightmare for the Eagles, who struggle in Baltimore for some reason. (8-4)
- Week 14 (vs. Panthers): Victory – Recovery game against a supposedly bad team. (9-4)
- Week 15 (vs. Steelers): Win – Feels like an AJ Brown encore game (remember the last time he played in Pittsburgh). (10-4)
- Week 16 (in Commanders): Victory – Trap game, but the Eagles managed to control the trenches in the second meeting. (11-4)
- Week 17 (vs. Cowboys): Victory – With the NFC East title at stake, the Eagles will not waste opportunities. These two usually break up anyway. (12-4).
- Week 18 (vs. Giants): Win – Seeding and potential home field advantage in play. There are no rest entries here. (13-4)
