While prospects still have their important senior seasons to play, the past two months have provided 247Sports with extremely valuable data in the evaluation process. Not only did the Under Armor Next Camp Series and Elite 11 Regional Tour hold events across the country, but there were also spring practices and showcases along with several 7-on-7 tournaments.
As the spring camp circuit begins to wind down and official summer visits increase, 247Sports has updated its Top247 rankings for the class of 2025 and launched his first five-star field with 32 players for the cycle. There were already 16 five-star prospects in the class, so Wednesday’s update meant 16 more (the No. 16 overall prospect, USC quarterback Julian Lewis, was already a five-star and was omitted from this list).
Here’s a look at new five-star prospects.
247Sports rankings project to the NFL Draft, so the 32 five-stars reflect the 32 first-round picks. We used to be a little more conservative when it came to awarding a fifth star, but we decided to be more aggressive with the ratings and try to give fans a better idea of whom we believe that at this stage has the best chances of being a college football superstar and a potential Day 1 NFL Draft selection.
The final classification of the class of 2025 will take place in January 2025.

No. 15 Epenesa Iosis
Edwardsville (Ill.) five-star defensive lineman Iose Epenesa has five official visits scheduled. The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder will visit IowaMiami, Missouri, Penn State and Utah in the next two months.
His brother played at Iowa, so watch out for the Hawkeyes.
However, don’t be surprised if Miami can pull it off. There is a lot of excitement around hurricanes.
#18 Ty Haywood
Early on, Oklahoma was the heavy favorite for Denton (Texas) Ryan, a five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood.
Looking now, he has six official visits scheduled, including trips to Alabama, Florida State, Oklahoma, UCLA, TCUand Texas A&M.
Sources believe the Aggies are in contention to achieve that. The Crimson Tide has always been the dream school for the 6-foot-2, 285-pounders, according to sources, but there are still several schools in play.
#25 Jamie Fffrench
Ohio State was the leader to Jacksonville (Florida) Mandarin five-star receiver Jaime Ffrench for a long period of time. However, depending on who you talk to these days, things have changed (what will never change are the typos we’ll be subject to for years to come with three ‘f’s in Mr. Fffrench’s last name!)
Some believe Texas is the team to beat. Others have Miami as the most likely landing spot. Some have LSU and Tennessee at or near the top for the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder.
That said, don’t count out the Buckeyes.
