The month of June was a blast, albeit exhausting, on the college football recruiting calendar. Last weekend, the best players in the country did their job in OT7 Overtime Finals in Florida. Next week, the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2025 will travel to Los Angeles for the 2024 Elite 11 Finals.
Between all this, grand visits are happening on college campuses from coast to coast as schools position themselves for the flood of July commitments (before appointments arrivewe welcome visitors).

Alabama making noise with 6th TE
Kaleb Edwards visits Capstone for the second time
“Alabama has a big weekend with players coming from all over the country, but one of the best tight ends in the country will be in attendance after being in state earlier this week. El Dorado Hills (California) Oak Ridge tight end Kaleb Edwards I was Texas Last weekend I took a mid-week trip to Auburn earlier this week and will now be in Tuscaloosa for his official visit. The Tide offered the No. 6 tight end in the class of 2025 when he was there in April for the A-Day Game, but the relationship with the head coach Kalen De Boer and offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan goes back to when they were the first to offer Edwards while in Washington. Bryan Ellis, the Tide’s tight ends coach, is also involved in his recruitment. But DeBoer and Sheridan’s offer – and the presence of Edwards’ neighbor, Austin Mackin the Tide program — put Alabama in a significant position heading into the visit.” -Brandon Huffman, 247Sports
Georgia in big battle with… Duke?
Decisive weekend for the Top 100 DL
“Georgia has a big visit on deck with Greensboro (NC) Top100 defensive lineman Grimsley Bryce Davis coming to campus. I know I know. Everyone is drawing the 6-foot, 245-pound gun in Georgia Class of 2025 some time ago, but I genuinely believe that your interest in Duke it’s very real – and the Blue Devils coaching staff couldn’t have made a better impression on the state native during last week’s official visit. I’m told there are some in the Davis family who prefer Manny Diaz’s Duke program to any other, but there’s no denying their love for Georgia football. Keep an eye on Clemson also. The Tigers are a legitimate contender. However, this weekend will be extremely important and will likely result in him being added to the Bulldogs’ commitment list or become the moment when the country #63 player overall realizes he wants to be a Blue Devil, or maybe even a Tiger.” -Tom Loy, 247Sports
Michigan hopes to change the buzz with 5-star OT
Wolverines promote academics in duel with Stanford
“Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest five-star offensive tackle André Babalola go to Michigan this weekend. There’s a legitimate buzz around Stanfordfavor after last weekend’s official game for Palo Alto. Michigan now has its turn, and the Wolverines might be the school that has the best chance to change that buzz. They have academics to offer, which is important in this decision, and development of the offensive line with the head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome capable of marking the team in recruitment. Michigan has done well in that area as well, signing players like former Kansas City (Mo.) four-star offensive tackle Rockhurst Andrew Sprague one year ago. It is well documented that the So far, the Wolverines have just six commits in their 2025 recruiting class, which ranks 51st nationally. Michigan fans would love to start having some big things to celebrate.” -Allen Trieu, 247Sports
Gamecocks risk losing top 25-year commitment
“We’re going a little bit against the “big visitor to watch this weekend” suggestion, because for the Gamecocks, this weekend may be inadvertently defined by who’s on the from someone else campus. Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale four-star cornerback Counts Shamari is the highest rated player committed to South Carolina, but has changed its official visiting schedule and no longer includes the Gamecocks. He will be in Michigan this weekend, taking a trip on June 20th to Virginia (coinciding with his high school team’s camp at UVA) and will visit Georgia June 21-23. Earls said he remains committed to the Gamecocks, but it may only be a matter of time before he is in another class with the program. The concern about South Carolina isn’t limited to the Earls’ official visit to Georgia during the last open window in June rather than the Gamecocks. He was supposed to officially visit South Carolina from May 31 to June 2, but was postponed so the Gamecocks could get him before the summer dead period began. – Brian Dohn, 247 Sports
Tennessee could crash two-team party for 5-star EDGE
Vols gaining momentum in fierce pursuit of Isaiah Gibson
“Warner Robins (Georgia) Five-star high edge rusher Isaiah Gibson will make an official visit to the Tennessee this weekend. The nations #1 Edge Runner has committed USC since March, but Gibson continues to test the market. Georgia, who hosted him on an official visit the weekend of May 31, has been widely seen as the Trojans’ biggest threat. 247 Sports reported in the past month, however, Tennessee is attacking USC and Georgia as its top competitor. The Vols most recently hosted Gibson in April and were later added to this weekend’s schedule. Gibson hopes to carry his recruitment into the fall, but Tennessee can stamp its status as a top-tier suitor with an official visit this weekend.” – Anna Adams, 247 Sports
Texas receives Dakorien Moore, the best WR in the country
Are the Longhorns Moore’s surefire favorite?
“Continuing with the five-star theme, I will opt for the No. 1 receiver in the country Dakorien Moore. While it’s true that I could probably list the Duncanville (Texas) target every week, this week feels especially big. His recruitment seems to take a new twist every week after leaving the LSU in May before visiting Ohio State and returning to Baton Rouge. The Tigers are back in the picture, but Texas is the school that attracted the most attention when Moore opened his recruitment. It’s no secret that Texas has several inherent advantages for Moore, as his mother was born in Austin and he still has family in the area. There has been a lot of confidence coming from the Texas program that they can eventually close the deal and add the elite prospect to one of the best wide receiver rooms in the country and the Longhorns have all three Crystal Ball predictions for Moore in their favor. Although a visit to Oregon is still imminent next week, this looks like a great moment for everyone involved.” -Mike Roach, 247Sports
Utah Aims to Make Noise with ‘Quiet’ Single 5-Star Commitment
Ole Miss commit Jerome Myles has big visit planned at SLC
“Utah kept a quiet commitment from the state’s five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles until he paid a resounding official visit to old lady in April, then committing himself to the rebels. Things have been slow since then, but this weekend the Utes have a chance to bounce back for the Draper Corner Canyon ace. The connections in Salt Lake City are already deep and the expectation is that the freshman quarterback Isaac Wilson – his former high school and 7-on-7 club teammate – will be Myles’ host player all weekend as the Utes hope to convince the talented pass catcher to stay close to home. Myles has also planned trips to Texas A&M (June 21) and Michigan (July 26) as other prospects struggle to make up ground on Ole Miss, but Utah has the first opportunity to close the gap. -Blair Angulo, 247Sports
