The PGA Tour makes its annual trip to Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club this week for the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship. As an exclusive event, the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship field will compete for a total purse of $20 million and a winner’s share of $3.6 million. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy enters the tournament as the 13-2 betting favorite in the latest 2024 Wells Fargo Championship odds. Other top contenders in the field include Xander Schauffele (9-1), Wyndham Clark (14- 1), Max Homa (22-1), Collin Morikawa (22-1) and Justin Thomas (22-1). Early match times are at 11am ET on Thursday.
Clark enters as the tournament’s defending champion after winning the event by four strokes in 2023. In last week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson, McClure recommended using 50-1 Alex Noren in One and Done pools. Noren would remain in contention until the end, before finishing in third place, two shots behind the lead.
