The second major of the 2024 golf season has arrived with many players looking to set the tone for the remainder of the campaign. No one will have more pressure on his shoulders than Scottie Scheffler, who will try to become the first golfer since 2015 to win the first two major championships of the year. May’s beautification involves Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, as the PGA Championship returns to the city for the first time in a decade.

Scheffler, the 2024 Masters champion, has not only won consecutive PGA Tour matches, but also four of the last five events in which he has played. Given his ability and how steady he looks on the field, it’s no surprise that he’s the clear favorite on the field. But not only that, Scheffler’s play gave some legitimacy to the talk of a grand slam. The PGA would also mark the second leg of his personal Slam journey, as his major championship mantle has consisted of two green jackets over the past three years.

Right behind Scheffler on the odds board are Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy, who have also won their last two matches. Koepka has played exceptionally well overseas and although he finished T45 at the Masters last month, he is also the reigning PGA champion looking to make it back for a second time. In other words, he has a chance to lift the Wanamaker for the fourth time in seven years. McIlroy has been without a major title since his last PGA start at Valhalla a decade ago, but he is clearly comfortable in this field and coming off a victory at the Wells Fargo Championship, where he dominated another familiar venue at Quail Hollow.

While attending the PGA Championship can be a lot of fun, simply being able to watch golf on the game’s biggest stages is an incredible pleasure each year. We here at CBS Sports are excited to bring you complete PGA Championship leaderboard coverage throughout this week with live action streaming throughout the weekend. Don’t miss out when your favorite golfers are ready to hit the course with a full list of PGA Championship tee times and first round pairings.

CBS Sports golf anchor Jim Nantz will call the action for the 34th consecutive year while anchoring supertower coverage alongside lead analyst Trevor Immelman. Also on Valhalla for CBS Sports are Ian Baker-Finch, Frank Nobilo, Dottie Pepper, Colt Knost and Mark Immelman with Amanda Renner reporting and conducting interviews.

The 106th PGA Championship is the 34th consecutive broadcast (and 41st overall) for CBS Sports, which will offer multiplatform coverage throughout the week. In partnership with the PGA of America, CBS Sports will lead overall production efforts, deploying 125 cameras and nearly 150 microphones to capture all the images and sounds. Additional technology enhancements include Fly Cams, Bunker Cameras, state-of-the-art drone coverage, Falcon 360 panoramic cameras, Toptracer and more.
