NFL schedule release day has become an off-season holiday of sorts, and every social media team has put their best foot forward with the accompanying release videos. They get more and more creative every year, and there have been more memorable ones in 2024.
The Tennessee Titans provided one of the best videos of last year and will show it in 2024, but they weren’t the only highlights. Teams have taken all sorts of approaches – from recruiting celebrities to creating video game graphics – in an attempt to win the scheduled launch day.
What do the teams have in store for us this year? Here is each team’s video, in alphabetical order.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals went further and asked local artists to paint a mural revealing their 2024 schedule. It might not be as viral as some of the other videos, but it was a really cool idea.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons chose to return to the NFL Street video game series, and as someone who burned through those discs on their PS2, I really enjoyed this one. Atlanta even brought back Michael Vick and Deion Sanders for the release of the schedule while taking some creative shots at their opponents. They don’t get much better than this.
Baltimore crows
What started as a bit on social media for comedian Stavros Halkias has turned into a legitimate role for Ronnie the Raven, who is now tasked with revealing the team’s schedule. It’s a little chaotic, but that’s what you expect when Ronnie walks around with his company card.
Buffalo notes
Josh Allen has a rocket arm, but did you also know he has some decent acting skills? In a video reminiscent of Andy Dwyer taking up residence in The Pit on “Parks and Recreation,” Allen is already making the Bills’ new stadium his home. Get Allen a role in the next big comedy.
Carolina Panteras
The Panthers tried to paint for this one, and I’m pretty confident none of them should hang up their cleats in favor of picking up a paintbrush. Thanks to Shy Tuttle for not making any attempt to paint Derrick Brown and instead trying to roast him.
Chicago Bears
DJ Moore channels his inner Ferris Bueller and gives people a tour of the school — and the Bears’ 2024 schedule — that includes a cameo from Yung Gravy. As is mandatory in comic book movies these days, it includes a mid-credits scene to tease the next big heroes.
Cincinnati Bengals
Halftime entertainment doesn’t get much funnier than mascots teaching football to little kids, and the Bengals capture that in their programming release. That said, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a kid get hit in the face with a guitar by a mascot before.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns schedule release video only gets stronger as it goes along. Not only is Lamar Jackson’s joke worth sticking around for, but there’s also a cameo from a viral bowling legend.
Dallas Cowboys
Post Malone. Eli Manning. Michael Vick. Calvin Johnson. Shane Gillis. Sam Morris. This is perhaps the most star-studded launch video ever filmed. The Cowboys know how to put on a show, even in May.
Denver Broncos
“There’s no way they can eat carrots down there.” Lewis Hamilton insults the cuisine of Indiana and the entire southeastern United States as he reveals the Broncos’ 2024 schedule. That should be all the encouragement you need to watch.
Detroit Lions
Detroit essentially outsourced its scheduled release video to the “I Think You Should Leave” duo of Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson, and it was a stroke of genius. This is one of the funniest reveals, with Robinson and Richardson riffing back and forth the entire time.
Green Bay Packers
From WWE stars to Bachelor contestants, the Packers had an eclectic group of guest stars helping them launch the programming. Green Bay also leaned heavily on former players and got media that covers the team involved.
Houston Texans
If you’ve spent a lot of time watching hydraulic press videos on social media, then this is the lineup revealed for you. This one gets some points for lack of originality, and you’ll see why later.
Indianapolis Colts
I had to do a little social media sleuthing to get the joke behind this, but the Colts are faking a very funny graduation ceremony that recently went viral. Fair warning: this will come with an uncomfortable amount of chills.
Jacksonville Jaguars
In full disclosure, I just watched the season finale of X-Men ’97 this morning, so it probably goes without saying that I love this one. The nostalgia of Saturday morning cartoons will always get me, and the production value of this one is excellent.
Kansas City Chiefs
We have another hydraulic press video here, so it’s not exactly unique, but I’ll watch it often. I will say that the Kansas City video has some very satisfying explosions.
Las Vegas Invaders
The Raiders made another exaggerated video, zigzagging when everyone else is zagging. Raiders fans will love it, especially the appearance of new head coach Antonio Pierce, but it won’t affect other fan bases.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are very good at that and they overcame it again this year. This Sims-themed launch video features some hilarious shots of its rivals, including a reference to Taylor Swift, which I’m surprised hasn’t been more common in other videos.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams chose a Grand Theft Auto theme for their video, and now all I can think about is how much longer I have to wait for GTA VI to release. Thank you so much, Rams social media team.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are known for their team speed and they applied that to their schedule release video. Considering most of these videos are already over three minutes long, I can appreciate the restraint and brevity demonstrated by Miami.
Minnesota Vikings
TJ Hockenson does his best Tim Cook impression in this video as the Vikings imitate an Apple iPhone presentation (insert number here). I know it’s a bit, but the programming looks pretty elegant. I might even pay $1,400 for it.
New England Patriots
The Pats adopted their brand in New England with a parody of “Good Will Hunting.” While Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski get the lead roles in this trailer, Ernie Adams really steals the show.
Saints of New Orleans
I, for one, would love for the Saints to hand over control of their social media accounts to Shannon Sharpe. Leave it to him and Katt Williams to come up with some ideas for next season.
New York Giants
The people of New York have spoken and they don’t care about video release schedules. The Giants, at the risk of cheering up their fans, listened and released a simple graphic when releasing the 2024 schedule.
New York Jets
The Jets did a promo for the release of the schedule, which was a choice. Can you blame a Jets fan for dumping a bucket of Gatorade on his head to get as far away from the team as possible?
Philadelphia Eagles
Asking Eagles fans for their honest thoughts about the team’s opponents was a risky move, but the team rolled the dice anyway. The editing team may have had a tough job on this one, so shout out to the staff who had to edit this one together.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Watching terrified Steelers reciting dad jokes to a disgruntled James Harrison was a lot of fun for me personally. I’m not sure seeing the schedule a little earlier was worth the risk of it being broken in half.
San Francisco 49ers
Nick Bosa was supposed to reveal the 49ers’ 2024 schedule, but chose to take the day off. That’s why the duties fell to Steph Sanchez, who did her best to fill Bosa’s shoes and his spot in the academy.
Seattle Seahawks
As if Chris Pratt didn’t have enough roles on his plate, he now plays the role of talking sunglasses in the Seahawks’ schedule release video. This guy really is everywhere these days.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rachaad White and Luke Goedeke may not be artists, but they made great efforts for this one. Did White’s version of the Superdome look like a snow globe with snow on the outside? Sure, but he gets an A for effort and an A+ for attitude.
Tennessee Titans
If it is not broke, do not fix it. That’s good advice, and the Titans followed suit by backdating their schedule release video from 2023 to 2024. The team got one of the stars of last year’s video to ask the well-oiled folks at Broadway to identify the team’s 2024 opponents. , and it was as you might expect.
Washington commanders
The Commanders played a little game of “Is It Cake?” with their 2024 opponents, and all I could think about was how much of that leftover cake Major Tuddy ate when filming ended.
