2024 NHL Playoffs bracket: Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule, Reinhart leads Panthers to overtime win in Game 4

The Florida Panthers won a power play early in overtime when forward Aleksander Barkov was tackled by New York Rangers winger Blake Wheeler. Shortly after the start of the power play, Sam Reinhart was able to lead the Panthers to a 3-2 victory thanks to a single scorching hit.

Reinhart has scored three goals in his last three games, including two goals in Game 3. This marked the first time the Rangers lost in overtime during the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs after going 4-0 in the extra session.

The Rangers opened the game when forward Vincent Trocheck found the back of the net. At 8:51 of the opening period, Trocheck managed to win the faceoff and opened up the spot. Teammate Artemi Panarin found an open Trocheck in the slot, and Trocheck sent a scorching hit to Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Panthers would score the next two goals courtesy of Sam Bennett and Carter Verhaeghe. With less than eight minutes left in the third period, Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk sent a centering pass to Verhaeghe in front of the net. The puck ended up ricocheting off Verhaeghe and Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren before Verhaeghe bounced the puck into the net in mid-air.

The Rangers tied the game on a goal by Alexis Lafreniere early in the third period.
