2024 NHL Playoffs bracket: Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule, Panthers top Rangers to advance to Stanley Cup Final

The Florida Panthers won the final three games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Rangers. In Game 6, the Panthers beat the Rangers 2-1 to secure their spot in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers took advantage of the hot hand of forward Sam Bennett to reach the pinnacle of world hockey. Bennett extended his scoring streak to three consecutive games by scoring a goal in Game 6.

Most of the opening period didn’t produce many important scoring chances for either team. However, with just under a minute remaining in the first period, Bennett found the back of the net on a single play courtesy of a play by forward Evan Rodrigues.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored an insurance goal midway through the third period to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead. It turned out to be a huge tally as Rangers star Artemi Panarin scored with just 1:40 left in regulation.

With the win, the Panthers now have a 5-0 record when leading after the first period of games during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They will now face the winner of the Dallas Stars/Edmonton Oilers series in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Rangers haven’t exactly received impressive production from Panarin, Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider. The trio combined to score just two goals in the series.
