The Goal 100 now it’s officially out and now that we have the complete list we can see which players were included and others who were left out of the list. Let’s now look at the list that divides the 100 best men’s football players in the world by their positions, starting with goalkeepers.

Goalkeepers

Only eight goalkeepers made the list, starting with the iconic German Manuel Neuer, who reached 87th position. Alisson was voted the best goalkeeper (31), while his Brazilian teammate Ederson follows him in 35th place.

It is not an easy task to name the ten best defenders in the world. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is number one on this list, although it’s worth noting that there are only two non-Premier League defenders in the top ten, with Joshua Kimmich (defending if you define him as a defender) and Antonio Rudiger and four in ten players are currently in the Manchester City squad.
